Raised in the rainy Washington State, I have a deep passion for the diverse communities and individuals around me. I grew up with a love for the outdoors, enjoying activities like playing and exploring. We have it all here: beaches, mountains, deserts, and cities, and I’ve had the chance to explore every bit of it. My parents bought a vacation property when I was young, and we would spend long weekends and summers there with family, which sparked my interest in real estate and how it can enrich life, family, and a peaceful existence.
I studied music production and appreciation in the 1990s and continue to play music and record bands for enjoyment. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Building Science Technologies in the 2010s, knowledge that later enabled my wife and me to build an off-grid, sustainable homestead on the Washington State peninsula, where we farm and care for wayward and abused animals. Additionally, I am a twice-certified hypnotherapist, an amateur vegan chef, and now, an author!
I bought my first beach properties at just 21, when land was incredibly affordable. I eventually sold it for double its value and over time upgraded to owning several rental properties, peaking at 22 units. After consolidating following the 2008 financial crisis, I purchased a commercial/residential building in bustling Seattle, which serves as my real estate office and our home base for exploring the city I adore. Our off-grid home in the foothills of the Olympic Mountains on the stunning Olympic Peninsula offers us the best of both worlds, with vast nature complementing the vibrant cultural hub that beautiful Seattle provides.
Now, at our homestead off the beaten path, It’s just me, my amazing wife, our lovely dog, chickens, pigs, and everyone else, including the creatures that peek into our lives, observing us as if we are the zoo of their world.
